How to uninstall the game?

Hey guys

Thiss might seem like a very weird question, since I uninstalled this game many times since I started playing a while ago, but here it is.

I have been having these weird issues in my game against Danslayer, where sometime the turn wouldn't generate or else I couldn't load the turn itself, or my game crashes unexpectedly.

So I finally decided to uninstall and re-install... But here is the thing. Cant find the program in the uninstall option on Windows!!! LOL

So is there any way to uninstall this game other than thru the uninstall feature on windows?

What weird feature could that be related to?

I was also playing a game with Crazygunner at same time and none of those issues surfaced in the games with him.

You should also have the uninstall feature presented on the game folder in the Windows Start menu.

Nope I tried that as well.

It seems the uninstall feature is just gone...

Anyway to uninstall manually?

You can just remove the folder where Commander Europe at War is installed, but remember to also reinstall the vanilla game.

In the my documents folder you can remove the CEAW Grand Strategy 3.00 folder. Remember to backup files in the subfolder

data\pbem\

That is where the save games are stored.

The registry keys added for the game are stored in:
HKEY\Local machine\Software\Slitherine or HKEY\Local machine\Software\Matrixgames
Here you have subfolders based on the version you installed.

I wouldn't recommend removing registry keys, but it you're confident you can do it after exporting the current settings first.

If you have a 64-bit OS you might find the registry keys under
HKEY\local machine\software\wow6432Node\Slitherine

What you can do is to just rename the CEAW game folder name so you can rename it back if reinstalling didn't work. If it works you can delete the folder structure you renamed.
