Hi

Nice pics

Texas Flood!!

Great photos from the land of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Johnson.

May have to mix and match a guitar and gaming trip someday over there!!

The 10mm look great - I think I'm going to get a couple of armies of those. They look fab.

My mate and I spent all day sunday wandering round the Triples convention trying to decide between 15 and 10mil for new FoG armies. 10mil won on the grounds that it just looks more like an army on the tabletop.

Yeah, I wanted to get some pictures of 10mm posted. I think they look great. I need to work on my Romans to get them finished and when the Rome Triumphant comes out, I'll drag out the Sassanians.

As for sources for 10mm:

In the US, I carry the Magister Militum range at http://www.greathallminis.com as well as the Old Glory. I hope to have the OG medievals posted on the site soon.

Also, Pendraken are pretty popular. I'll have the medieval range in stock soon.

Some others include AIM, which is handled by Game Figures Inc. here in the US (MiniFigs).

Best,

We went with Magister Militum: http://www.magistermilitum.com

We also looked at Irregular: http://www.irregularminiatures.co.uk/

and Pendraken: http://www.pendraken.co.uk/

The reason we went with Magister Militum was because they were the best sculpted in terms of crispness of detail. We thought Pendraken were the worst of the three being somewhat blurry in detail, though they had some nice poses. Irregular had the best proportioned anatomy and looked good at the scale, but in the end we thought that MM would be the easiest to paint up. As my mate kept saying 'I don't want to have to paint all the detail in myself - I want something I can pick out with a wash.'

Of course, YMMV.

I did some test bases and found that for Celts you could mix the MM and Irregular without any problem. This gave more poses and an even better wild and woolly look to the warbands. Can't do the same with legionaries though.
