I have recently been using car primers on my models as they are cheaper than the modelling primers.
However, they only come in grey and white it seems.
You can get black spray paint for cars but it is not sold as Primer. Could I use it as such?
Thanks

Yes I have used it and it MUST be matt I use Plasti-Kote but any car spray will do. You must shake it for ages and do it upside down. Clean the nozzle out after use or it gets blocked.Eques wrote:I have recently been using car primers on my models as they are cheaper than the modelling primers.

I put the figures on a wooden sprue about 20mm wide with BluTack with figures in line. Spray the underneath first then from the top. Do not spray too thickly as it can run. You can always add a second coat but not take any off!!!

Re: Using Car Spray Paint
I love to paint my car with different signs and wordings myself. I use high quality car paint and sprayer for the purpose. But, now I am looking for paint removal that do not cause corrosion on car body.
