Lost MP paired games/ Does anyone care!!!
Since last month, we have been losing one half of our paired games! What happens is, when we finish the first game, it goes in to the results folder. Then it disappears from the results folder and takes the unfinished game with it! I first posted about this on Dec 26th and Razz1 was kind enough to reply on Jan 10th, that it had to do with game/ server updates! Lost another one today!!! Are you updating the game/server everyday??? Should we quit playing paired games until someone decides to look into this problem, and lets us know when it is fixed??? I don't know if you can do the 1941 map as a paired game, but if you can, boy are they in for a surprise!! Please let us know!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi 4p0int,
Sorry for the issue and thanks for reporting the problem so detailed. We've found the bug in the server and fixed it.

Same problem here... OR... for example my 1941 game will just SWITCH with some other game I'm playing... and be gone forever!!! Or I'm not playing a 1941 that is labeled Sea Lion 42 because it just took another existing games place.. That's rough as these are games that require some time, if not emotional, investment!!! What is going on here?

Sorry you are having problems. There seems to be a rare bug where the games get swapped somehow. We are investigating it and try and track it down.

Re: Lost MP paired games/ Does anyone care!!!
Will you be able to recover these games as you did when you had the server problems back in Oct/Nov 2013. It can occur when you decide to abort a game challenge. The aborted game then "assumes" the identity of an existing game. Damn old identity theft
. This has happened to me a few times now. In the games I'm playing against underthesun1(see above) we lost one outright to a scenario called Selarno (sp?) which was about 11+ moves into a 1941 (99 moves) scenario. The Sealion problem mentioned above at least kept the 1941 game but switched names. I believe both happened when another challenge setup was aborted. At the end of the day can you salvage the original game that was lost to the Selarno map?
Thanks
Juno

Hi Juno, thanks for reporting this.
Can you please explain me what do you mean by "aborting a challenge"?
If you can guide me step by step through the process you are describing, I can see if they are still recoverable.
Thanks,
'Pet'

When you go to issue a challenge (MP game) and then decide you don't want to. You hit the abort key to end the challenge (game). When you then go back to play a game in your current game list, one of the games has taken on the identity of the game you abort (canceled). I will have underthesun1 jump in a explain what happened exactly.
Thanks
Juno

Re: Lost MP paired games/ Does anyone care!!!
Pet, I believe I created this last problem in Juno and I's game. I believe I clicked on a scenario... let's say 1941, and then realized I maybe didn't have the 30 minutes for a turn so while it was loading I clicked "abort". I then selected a turn I could finish in 10 minutes, in this case Sea Lion 42' against another player. When the Sea Lion game loaded it was Juno and I's 1941!!! That is no big deal, I lost the Sea Lion game... but I did the same thing on a Salerno but opposite-clicked on Salerno, then decided I could do a 1941 turn so I aborted Salerno and selected 1941. Our 1941 game then became Salerno... 12 turns in means I just lost a good 10 hours (and one hell of a game, I was about to envelope his entire North Army attacking Leningrad!!! lol) Any chance we might get that game back? That would be amazing!!! I know now... basically don't hit abort at any point or you never know what the next game is you'll get!!!

Thanks for the report. I just tried and I was able to replicate the issue. We'll check what is happening!

That sounds hopeful at least! Any chance of recovering our lost 1941? Thanks so much for keeping this running!
Re: Lost MP paired games/ Does anyone care!!!
Can you please let me know more details about the corrupted game? I see you should have 4 ongoing games with Juno. Can you, for example, tell me the last update date of the corrupted game? Thx

Juno and I only have 1 ongoing game. It's titled Sea Lion 42' I believe, but it's actually 1941! It's been about two weeks. It should just be 1941... about turn 10? Though it may have switched it's name and became Salerno... The server seems to be down tonight for me... I've played two turns and then it won't let me upload them...
