Re: Runtime error!
I just remembered something from way back about the videos interfering with the starting of the game in some situations. But it was a very long time ago. so I don't recall the details. Maybe VPaulus might remember. And I think there was a way to start the game without the opening videos from running. Not sure though.
I'm doing some digging in the mean time though.
edit:
Found this post from before. some things in here.
viewtopic.php?f=166&t=33681&p=340630&hi ... eo#p340630
Especially try adding the line in to the cfg file "showvideos=false"
. . . and whatever else in the post that might sound good to try.

Re: Runtime error!
Actually I had already thought about that and also trying to initializing the game in Windowed mode with Vsynch off.
Re: Runtime error!
How do I initialize the game in Windowed mode with Vsynch off?

Re: Runtime error!
In the config file under my games/team assault folder. Switches are in there
Re: Runtime error!
Ok. Thanks.
I tried running it with " fullscreen=false ", " vsync=false " and added " showvideos=false ", but the error still occurs (immediately, now that the videos are not playing).

Re: Runtime error!
Check the Nvidia Control Panel and locate the Manage 3D Settings. Check in both Global and Program, changed the Preferred Graphics Processor to High Performance NVIDIA Processor.

Re: Runtime error!
My window (besides being in spanish) doesn't have that "drop-down" option...

Re: Runtime error!
How are the antialiasing settings configured in your Nvidia card?index.php
Re: Runtime error!
Hi,
I use the default settings:
Antialiasing - Setting : Application-controled
Antialiasing - FXAA : Off
Antialiasing - Gamma correction : On
Antialiasing - Mode : Application-controled
Antialiasing - Transparency : Off
and I've also tried turning them all off, and it makes no difference.

Re: Runtime error!
...Any other suggestions??
Re: Runtime error!
I'm sorry, but not really. Well, I suppose you can try the classical ones, like disable your security software, disable "visual themes", disable "desktop composition" and disable "display scaling on high DPI settings” when playing the game. Also important is to make sure that you're login to Windows as administrator.
Re: Runtime error!
Well, I want to thank you, VPaulus and Xerkis, for all your attention and support. I know things like this happen with computers & software. If I ever do find a way to make the game work on this computer, I'll post it. If not, I'll just uninstall the game and keep it stored away for when I get a new computer.
Cheers to all.

Re: Runtime error!
Maybe with a new Windows installation will fix the issue. I really don't believe that's a hardware issue. This seems to be a software conflict.khar_loz wrote:Well, I want to thank you, VPaulus and Xerkis, for all your attention and support. I know things like this happen with computers & software.
