Minima for non-allied elements

Post by MCorbett »

Are the minima for the non-allied element of an army that has an allied division modified at all? For example, I would like to field an 1805-7 French Army with a Wurttemberg infantry division. However, the minimim number of French line infantry bases on the list is 16. Does the 16 minimum still apply?...It'll be tricky to do with the 800 points.

Thanks

Mark

I'm afraid so. You have to get the minimum French before getting the Württembergers.

have not got the lists in front of me but some of the french lists you can deduct allied troops taken from the French miniums. Don't know if is this is one of them but is in notes for the lists where it can be done.

The French 1805-07 list is not one of them. It's the 1812 list.

Thanks both.

Shame, but at least it's clear. I understand the lists are intended to broadly reflect the historical reality of actual army composition, so that's fair enough.

I'm pretty ignorant of the early Napoleonic period so need to do a bit more reading.
