Nigel,
Did not you notice that you are already on the list as is Byron. I took if for granted that you would be at the Oxford Round.

Re: Southern League FOG R 2014 at Oxford
I won't be at Clevedon for a number of reasons:
(A) I know nothing about the eligible armies - Renaissance is not my period of greatest expertise, and the only army I own is a 15mm Pike and Shotte force I picked up on EBay which I have added bits to, essentially ECW Parliamentary but which can morph into a TYW force. Apart from mid 17th century, the only FoGR games I have played are some 16th century European ones where club members have lent me troops.
(B) The date is no good for me - life intervenes!
(C) My chief of staff only allows me limited shore leave at weekends, and she gets grumpy if I overdo it ( by her standards!) I (literally) have to choose my battles.

Re: Southern League FOG R 2014 at Oxford
I think all of us know (c) well.
In relation to (a) a number of the regular players have more than one army and are usually happy to assist other players with armies. I am certain to be providing at least one extra army at Oxford if not two.

Re: Southern League FOG R 2014 at Oxford
Thanks, Bob.
I am pleased to say that we also have a culture at the Central London Wargames Club of lending armies to other players. When you supply an army to your opponent, you can go home in the happy knowledge that your army won(even if you were not commanding it at the time!) . The only FoGR companion books I own are Wars of Religion and Duty and Glory, so Clevedon this year is not for me.

Re: Southern League FOG R 2014 at Oxford
Just added two more to the list so we are now up to 23 players - so just one place left. I will check to see if we can fit any more tables into the room.

After Godendag we are up to 29 players. I have found another 4 tables so can now go to 32 players. Anyone else interested.
