Game hangs on X-15 Experimental Flight 1

Everything works a charm and I successfully complete my X-15 flight test, hooray :D

However...

When I switch to the X-15 Experimental Flight 1 and watch from Mission Control, the animation fails to load and the game hangs. Works fine if I don't watch the mission but where is the fun in that? :(

I have the very latest version.

Any ideas?
