No mention of them in any of the stuff I have on Frederick 1st army.CLAVDIVS wrote:Hi All,

I know that the SYW jaegers where a new unit for that period and where raised by Frederick 2nd (The Great)
Might need to ask the list writers who they are.

Re: Later German States Army
Some information I have on the Prussian army (and other German states)
Starting with the Knoetel plates
http://www.grosser-generalstab.de/tafeln/knoetel.html
or there is the army of the Blue King, Bavarian count Elector Maximilian
Uniformology Book Series # 1 - ANTON HOFFMANN'S ARMY OF THE BLUE KING - The Bavarian Army 1684-1727. (ISBN: 0981507808 / 0-9815078-0-8)
or Imperial Austrian Army 1683-1720 (Hall, R & Boeri, G), you can buy this from Caliver (pricey), or get a PDF from Bacchus, or join the Pike and Shot Society where I believe you can get it discounted
This looks good ( I don’t have it though)
THE PRUSSIAN ARMY 1675-1743 (uniformology) [Paperback]
PHILIP CRANZ (Author)
If are doing the army for the Battle of Fehrbellin (1675~) against the Swedes, I don’t know of any other battle they took place in this period
There are several forums -
The LOA forum
http://www.leagueofaugsburg.com/fightingtalk/index.php
Or some blogs
http://warsoflouisxiv.blogspot.co.uk/
http://weeleadmen.blogspot.co.uk/2012/0 ... -foot.html
Also there is the Bacchus PDF The Army Brandenburg Prussia under Frederick 1, which is recommended to me

Might want to steer clear of your second link: it took me to an android app that hadsome very negative reviews.

Re: Later German States Army
While I'm thinking about it , and pre-empting the next question.. if you do Bavarians, 'under the bed enterprises' do Bavarian flags
http://www.underbed.co.uk/
28mm Bavarian Flags for 1690 - 1740
BAV1 Amigni's Infantry Regiment (sovereign's and regimental flags)
BAV2 Haxthausen Infantry Regiment (sovereign's and regimental flags)
BAV3 Kurprinz Infantry Regiment (sovereign's and regimental flags)
BAV4 Leibregiment Infantry Regiment (sovereign's and regimental flags)
BAV5 Lutzelburg Infantry Regiment (sovereign's and regimental flags)
BAV6 Maffey Infantry Regiment (sovereign's and regimental flags)
BAV7 Withdrawn
BAV8 Schellenberg Infantry Regiment (sovereign's and regimental flags)
BAVC1 Arco, Costa and Guard cuirassiers
BAVC2 Horse Guards, Poth and Wolframsdorf cuirassiers
They are listed for 28mm, but they happily resized them for me. You can see them here -
