Allied Corps iPad Beta, Operation Husky/Sicily AAR

Post by LandMarine47 »

Hey guys and this is going to be the last Beta AAR before Panzer Corps is released! Without another word lets begin!

July, a few months after the fall of Rommel and his Afrika Korps back in Tunisia. I'm here on the HMS Illustrious, it will act as my HQ until a proper Feild HQ is set up. I've organized my Landing Forces as accordingly, My US forces will he he western Beachheads at Gela, while the British hit the beaches outside Syracuse. I'm worried about my US forces, as they are still very Green, but they proved their worth in Tunisa, after they captured their objectives so quickly, they beat my Elite British into Tunis! I expect many great things form them, and expect them to be the first to March into Messina! As for the British, the RAF and RN will play a massive role during the initial landings, as the US Air Force is still too Green for my taste, so the Air goes the RAF. I'm told what is to be expected from the Axis on Sicily.

Turn 2

The British and US Paratoopers land (or some of them) at their initial Objectives and will play a vital role clearing out those Italian Forts! Once they have been eliminated, the RN will have free roam abilites around the coast line.

During the initial Landings, Italian Artillery takes their toll on the US landing forces, but nothing major. We also destroy most of the Italian guns in the distance, so the Garisson forces are effectively cut off! In he east however, our British Paras came under attack by German Grenadiers supported by a massive Italian fort in the distance. Without much support, they might be destroyed!

Unfortunately I've decided to scrap my AARs, as they are too time consuming. Instead I'm working on recording a battle for you guys! Just need to tweak with it on my laptop and make it presentable
