Re: Calling Semaeon . . .
I have sent a private message today to all Semaeon's remaining opponents (3 of them) suggesting that they use the voluntary procedure for their matches. There has been no contact from Semaeon and he may have decided to stop playing.

Div A
Jonathan4290 - Hephthlatite Hunnic 34/33
Claymore - Bosporans (later) 18/44 win
The Bos are a tough army for the Hunnies and the results reflect that.
Cheers, Claymore

Re: Can ericdoman1 win the Grand Slam?!
ianiow v Sharkall

Sharkall won the initiative and planted his army between a hill and a forest. He elected not to go with Sarmatian allies, I guess because of the Seleucids cat menace. Instead he has a 90% MF army. I have chosen to go MF heavy too because the odds of fighting in terrain were high. I have deployed in march formation.

The Dacians make a dash for the woods and hill.

The Dacians change their mind and opt for the woods and rough hill instead.

Re: Poll 4 - the tournament threads
It's nice to see the committee listens to feedback from the players.stockwellpete wrote:Sorry everyone, but the more detailed version of the chart posted by Anders yesterday has been voted down by the committee. To add all the scores in like that will create a great deal more of extra work and none of us on the committee are prepared to do it on top of everything else we do. So the charts will just show W, D1, D2 and L on them as originally intended.stockwellpete wrote:Everyone needs to slow down a bit here. The latest version from Anders has not been approved by the committee - Anders has just posted it on his own initiative. We'll have to discuss it on the committee first because entering the scores like that will create a lot more work and I am not sure if we will have the resources to do it, particularly if the number of divisions in each section increases from 4 to 5 or 6. A lot will depend on how Mark feels about it all as he will looking after these charts next season while I will be doing the tables. My own view is that the actual scores are an unnecessary detail - we just need to know who has won, drawn or lost, but Mark and Oskar may take a different view. We will try and let you know tomorrow.
If you kept the scores in a simplified version of the spreadsheet that Triarius did for earlier LoEG seasons it would be virtually no trouble at all to post a table containing the scores plus win/lose/draw scores. If you maintained it yourselves it and posted a read only version it would avoid the problems posed by having the players enter result themselves and would display the information in a simple manner.

Re: Poll 4 - the tournament threads
That's exactly what we are doing. The poll currently says that 70% of players like what we are doing with the threads and 30% think it is OK (16-7-0). No-one, not even yourself apparently, has said they dislike what we are providing. Perhaps you could set yourself up as an "unofficial fanzine" in future, or something like that, and post some spread sheets yourself, Chris?batesmotel wrote: It's nice to see the committee listens to feedback from the players.

Re: Poll 4 - the tournament threads

As voskarp suggested. Some irregularities after altering the original but they should not be there if done this way from scratch...I hope.

Re: Poll 4 - the tournament threads
Yes, I like that very much, Anders.
We also mentioned before that with the league tables if the 1st and 10th position could be a different shade too to denote the automatic promotion and relegation positions then that would be good as well.
The other issue we have for next time is the size of the charts and tables because we may have more than 4 divisions in each section in Season 2. The themed events will be the same size as the Eternal Empire event this time.

Division A
Lysimachos (Early South Slavs) 22/37 ianiow (Nikephorian Byzantines) 41/38
An interesting close game where the Slavic spearmen finally overwhelmed the enemy center while a massive, though inconclusive, cavalry action was developing on the left flank.

Re: High Middle Ages: remaining matches (4)
Only 4 matches to be completed now. 3 of them are "in progress" but I have no recent information on the Division D fixture between claytonengel and Semaeon. I am presuming that Semaeon has gone AWOL now as he has 2 matches in another section that have gone to the voluntary procedure. If either claytonengel or Semaeon do read this please let me know if there have been any recent developments.
