I started a new game with version 0.78. After 1st successful Sputnik flight (that one which has 1 season duration) I launched the other one (3 seasons). After the first season you can see under Sputnik R&D "used: 2; successful: 2". In the second season, the mission failed. I think for satellites (not rockets) in multi-season missions should count the number of uses after the last season.

By the way, have you changed the balance of the Sputnik Extended Mission? I tried it several times with 85,958 % reliabillity and the 2nd season is always a failure.

Bad luck maybe? Extended mission worked pretty much every time for me with sputnik. same version.
