audio problems

Hello,

Just bought Pandora and updated. The intro runs fine but there's static and stuttering on both voice and music during the game. I remember having this problem with the beta's earlier versions but it cleared itself up with later updates.

Hope you can help or fix the problems with updates.

This is normally caused by your computer being taxed and not being able to handle the load. Usually either too many open background programs, too much disk activity or not enough available processing power.

Can you try closing any and all background applications and maybe posting a dxdiag if it doesn't help? What's your fps (Alt+F1)?

Thanks for such a speedy response. I tried cutting out background progrms and so far that hasn't affected the game. I also have lots of other games, (xcom, civ5, endless space, sins of a solar empire, etc) and am not having any problem with sound. Here's my dxdiag file:
