Order of Researchers

Post by Xiaomaoxin »

Is it on purpose that the order of researchers has an effect on their effectiveness?

For instance researchers with the values 94 91 80 70 will be more effective if placed
94 91 80 70
than if placed
91 94 80 70

Is there a point to this, is it a weird side effect to the way it's programmed or is it known and work in progress :)

I think it simply reflects that some positions are more important than others. Also that overstaffing isn't the most economical way to do things. In fact I like how it is done. Now of course the research durations needed for the different programs have to be balanced...

The overstaffing thing is ok. But the order in which they are placed really should not matter unless it's a minigame "sort numbers high to low" which is a little annoying because you have to rearrange everything everytime you shuffle staff between programs in order to optimize. There is really no point why the position of a researcher in the four slots should make a difference.

The leftmost positions have a bigger impact on the RD outcome. We still need to fit that information in the UI so that it becomes more clear, though.

Wow good to know. Maybe have the frame to be of a different color and name it "lead designer" or "cheif designer"?
