Panzer corps gets on steam!
Panzer Corps has just been greenlight, congratulations! And I cannot not ask the usual question - will those of us who bought it at Slitherine/Matrix get a key?

We certainly intend to if it is possible. Not having been through the process before we can't promise at this stage but we'll do what we can!

Outstanding and about damn time.
I hope you guys will experience one of those spectacular sales spikes described by some indie games when they first got on steam.
At the very least, I hope you can generate some decent additional income. The game well deserves it.
A humble suggestion: Maybe you can try to make the DLCs and AddOns available as "attached" purchases somehow, so they don't have to be greenlighted seperately?
Oh, and think about adding achievements. I personally consider them pointless, but believe it or not, there's many folks for which they are a great deal.
Concratulations!

Awesome, some buddies who just insist on Steam for everything will finally get it - if not, I will force them to buy it.
Steam is also the home of people waiting for 75% sales of everything. This will lead to "but I bought Mass Effect 2 for 2 bucks!" comments and people will probably assign Panzer Corps a 2 Dollars value.
As a fan of the game I will roll my eyes at that, but well, enough ranting.
I am very happy about this. Took Steam long enough to realize the potential of the game!

Heh, that's definately true.Longasc wrote:Steam is also the home of people waiting for 75% sales of everything.
But maybe selling the base game discounted so deeply isn't actually such a bad idea - it can act as a gateway drug to the DLCs to those at all interested...

Congrats. As soon the PC Steam forums are up I will help to propagate all helpful information from this forum to the Steam forums, as you can be sure most Steam users will not come here for help or follow any outside links.
. Though lately it dropped off as I got now to many games I never even played once. To my shame, from the 230 games on my Steam account I only played 1/3 of them for real. Especially if I count in the games I got from HumbleBundles sales of THQ, EA and Deep Silver. I really need to find some time this holiday to play Tomb Raider and Borderlands 2, but to my defense games like Civ V, EU IV and Skyrim have been great time sinks.
So true, I have not bought a single title for the full price in the last 3 years. I developed the attitude of a spoiled child in that no game is worth more than 20 bucks on Steam, and then it better be the Game of the Year edition of triple A+ title with all DLC'S and expansion included. Still I usually spent maybe $150-200 a year (was even more in the past) on Steam thank to the sales. Once you get older it's more about owning games than playing them, so I kept telling myself. I do hope that PzC getting on steam will be a success and will show to Matrix/Slitherine that the market for TBS is bigger than it seems and there is no reason to hide in the "niche"
