Page 27, section 6.2 of the manual states, "If all retreat hexes are blocked with impassable terrain or enemy units, the unit will surrender (i. e. will be instantly destroyed)." I just had a unit surrender that was fully suppressed and completely surrounded by units, half of which were friendlies. Might the, "or enemy units" more accurately be stated simply as, "or units"? Might I be wrong on this?
P.S. - Great game, Slitherine! Glad I stumbled upon it after dusting off my copy of Panzer General II!
Typo in the manual reguarding suppression?

Re: Typo in the manual reguarding suppression?
You are right every unit no matter if enemy or friendly is blocking a hex as two units can never share a hex in Panzer Corps. To complicate the matter tho one air and one ground unit can be in the same hex field at the same time. So fully correctly formulating this in a short and easy comprehensible way is a bit tricky but your suggestion is already better then the one in the manual.
Oh and i almost forgot: Welcome to the Panzer Corps community. May you have lots of fun in the game and if you have any questions or encounter any problem feel free to come here and ask for help. The community here is a friendly bunch that will be happy to help you out.

Tarrak, thanks for the reply, and the welcome! You mentioned air units; I assumed that they do not factor into surrender calculations. Am I incorrect?
And I agree that presenting some of these mechanics in an easy to read explanation could be a challenge.

You are correct. Air units do not block hex fields for ground units so for example in the following situation the russian infantry in the middle will surrender here if attacked and not destroyed as all the possible retreat hexes are blocked by other, friendly or enemy unitsdinosaurjr10 wrote:Tarrak, thanks for the reply, and the welcome! In this situation tho the infantry will not surrender but retreat to the South East as it can share the same hex field with the air unit there.
