Hello Everybody and welcome to the first AAR for Panzer Corps on iOS! Before we begin I'd like to say a few things.
This is a very early beta. A lot of features are yet to be added. PLEASE do not judge the game yet as there is still a lot of work to be done.
Also if this AAR gets good reception, I might be compelled to start a full fledged Playthrough! Without further a do let us begin!
Turn 1 Cloudy
Today we make history my friends! A new era of warfare is about to be ushered and High Kommand has given me the honor of leading the brave German Army in our invasion of Poland. My objectives are to take the 3 Cities of Lodz, Cracow, and Warsaw, their capital city. I have organized my troops into 3 main "Battlegroups" Northern, Southern, and Central. Southern and Central will merge at Katowice, then march on Cracow. They will also take Radom and Sandomierz as well as the Airfield on the Vistula River. Northern is tasked with taking Fortress Lodz. By itslef it is very daunting so I will divert most of my Air Power in that direction. Upon taking all their objectives, they will all regroup and attack Warsaw!
The first shots of this Campaign are fired when Battlegroup Central begins their attack on Katowice. A strong resistance from the Polish defenders, they hold but at a horrific price. My men will begin their march in the morning and finish the Poles.

Northern Battlegroup engages and destroys a Polish Calvary regiment after a preemptive airstrike! A good sign for the impending battle for Fortress Lodz?

Battlegroup South clears out Cieszyn from an elite Polish Mountain Regiment. We save about a day of combat with this victory.

I request units from Germany to assist me in my Campaign. High Kommand rushes what they can to me. The Strumpanzer I, Kavallerie, and Pionieres will be assigned to Battlegroup North. Those troops are perfect for the Attack on Lodz. The Flak 37 AA Guns will accompany Battlegroup Central.

Turn 2 Clear
Battlegroup North's Panzer IB's catch some Polish Troops on the Warta River Bridge. They call for Air support and do a MASSIVE amount of damage! Nothing but the best from the Luftwaffe! Unfortunately the Panzer IBs are unable to destroy them, and they live to fight another day. The rest of the Battlegroup is moving towards the Bridge.

The Southern and Central Battlegroups merge at Katowice after the city falls. Lead elements of Battlegroup South arrive at the outskirts of Cracow. We begin the attack in the morning.

In the Air War the Luftwaffe do incredible damage against the obsolete Polish Air force. Unfortunately tomorrows forecast calls for rain allowing the Poles to reinforce themselves. I will this opportunity to refuel and rearm I plan on also upgrading my bombers to JU-87 Stukas. Their bombs will be useful for destroying fortifications at Fortress Lodz.
Turn 3 Clear
My forecaster was wrong! A clear and sunny day today! I order the Luftwaffe to hunt down the Polish Bombers and begin the bombardment of Lodz. But first we finish off the Poles defending Warta River. Our Lightning Fast Panzer IB's are already outside Fortress Lodz!

At Cracow the Polish refuse to give up! the Garrison is heavily weakened, but alive not the less. We should capture the city and airfield next turn.

As for the Luftwaffe I have ordered them to support the Lodz attack and the BF-109E's to hunt down the Polish Fighters. Then the air over Poland will be ours!
Turn 4 Clear
The Panzer IB's fail to destroy the Polish Artillery Battery outside of Lodz. Battlegroup North is still trying to get into position! They must hurry if we wish to stay on Schedule with Battlegroup Central. But my Kavallerie secure a foothold in the abandoned fortifications of Lodz. But the Poles have a strong presence in Lodz! My Pionieres are perfect for this task!

Battlegroup Central destroys all Polish resistance at Cracow and begin their march towards Warsaw. But they must secure Radom before advancing. Sandomierz and the Vistula Airfield are targets of opportunity that I plan on taking!

The Luftwaffe requests a day of rest to refuel then re-arm. I grant this to our BF-110C pilots but our BF-109E Pilots hunt down the Polish Fighters at the Vistula airfield. They will land at Cracow airfield tomorrow.
Turn 5 Cloudy
At Fortress Lodz the Poles still stand after a massive Wehrmacht assault. We are able to destroy the Polish Artillery Battery. Our Kavallierie hold their ground after a Polish counter attack but I redeploy them just for safety measures.

Battlegroup Central Panzer III's take heavy losses attacking the Polish tankers in Sandomierz. Other than that we continue our march through Poland.

Turn 6 Clear
Fortress Lodz finally falls! Our troops were able to take the city after a hard fight. Battlegroup North has requested a day of rest to resupply and reinforce before marching on Warsaw.

We clear out Sandomierz but Radom stands! These Poles don't know when to give up!

Turn 7 Cloudy
Battlegroup North and Central merge! The final phase begins now! But the Polish are determined to stop us! A massive counter attack is launched at Lodz! My men are running out of supplies and troops! We also take heavy losses outside of Warsaw... Quite the battle!

Turn 8 Clear
The bloodshed continues but our new JU-87 Stukas start changing the tide!

Turn 9 Clear
Warsaw is breaking! Just one more push!

Turn 10 Clear
After a long 10 days fighting Warsaw, and effectively Poland finally fall! It was long and hard but the victory is decisive! Upon returning to HQ I am congratulated and told I will soon participate in other operations! This is only beginning my friends!
