Greece To Russia In One Easy Jump

Post by durangokid »

I have gone from Greece to Barbarossa and skipped Sea Lion 40. I am ashamed to admit I only got an MV in Greece, but went back and did it agan and got a DV. But on both occasions I went to Barbarossa. I can play Sea Lion 40 as a scenario, but why didn't I get it in the campaign?

The Grand Campaign 39 - 45 is looking good for Christmas! :D

Greece occurs AFTER SeaLion '40. In the war it was in the spring of 1941.

Look at the Campaign Path in the game Library. Whatever result you get in the Greece scenario you progress to Barbarossa. To get Sealion 40 you would need to get a decisive victory in the France* scenario.

Thanks for the replies. I clearly wasn't reading the Campaign Path correctly. Poor map reading skills, no sat nav.

It's an excellent game and works really well with the sound turned down and Pink Floyd turned up loud.

Do yourself a big favour and get it. I'm doing a third play-through of the Eastern GCs. Right in the middle of GC '39, in fact. I was attempting to take a break after completing the second play-through but along comes Slitherine with Patch 1.21 with GC heroes and all. What is one supposed to do??!!! Really enjoying it. Is it just me? I tend to find GC '39 really addictive, what with building a starting core and all that. Scenarios were excellent, too.

When your finished, you may want to try the Danzig 1939 campaign.

A combination of orginal Panzer Corps maps and Panzer General maps

Thanks for the link, Razz. I'll definitely try it when I'm done with my current campaign. I also appreciate the effort all you modders have put into the custom campaigns. Many thanks.

Many thanks also from me, another campaign is always most welcome. I haven't come across this one, is there a list of other user made scenarios anywhere? I'm likely to be fighting WWII for longer than the real one took at this rate.

Sure: viewtopic.php?f=147&t=39055

I'm not sure if all the download links are still active, the more recent additions should be there.

Excellent, thanks very much THvN. You can never have too many wars to fight! You have to be impressed by the effort put into mods and the best compliment is to play them.

All the best.
