High latency connections lost easily

Hi there. I've been enjoying the game immensely, but I've been having a hangup while direct-connecting with one of my friends across the country. She can join and connect to my server just fine, but after every few turns, she would just disconnect. This could be latency due to a mix of the several thousand mile distance or a shoddy ISP. However, her ping never went above 800ms in all of our game attempts, and a connected skype call let me know that it wasn't her internet cutting out.

Thus, would it be possible to get some support in the game for extra-high latency? I have seen neither any documentation about this topic, nor know if there are any hidden server options I could use to achieve this. What I do know is that it should not time out after such a short amount of time. Any advice?

Edit: Failed to specify, this became a big issue for us after the 1.0.2 patch. If it's necessary I can see if I can get her dxdiag info, but since this is mostly about latency I'm not sure if it's necessary.

Hey vrtemjin,

That's very unfortunate. Would it be possible to provide logs from both the server and client right after the disconnect so I can check exactly what is going on? The timeout is set at 20s so it should not be happening.
