Hi, I figured out how to get everything working earlier. Here is everything you need to do.

1. In the game's options, go to the connection setting, and change the port number from 0 to any other. (I typically use 7777) This was the step that stumped me at first, but I got it. It seems that leaving the value to 0 selects the first available default port, but there isn't any way to tell which one it does as far as I can tell.

2. Go into your router's settings and forward this port for whichever computer is hosting. I believe this is using TCP.

3. Make sure that Windows firewall is not blocking the application's network communications.

4. Know the host's IP address. If you're playing over LAN, you can check your IP by going into the command prompt, typing "ipconfig", and then looking at your local IPv4 address (likely something like 192.168.1.101). If you're playing over the internet, have the host do a "what is my IP" Google search to get the appropriate IP.

You now should have all of the necessary info to play the game over LAN. Enjoy!
