As I found guns (88mm, 75, etc.) too easely killed because, for BA, there is only ONE man in the unit, for example, a lucky shoot, or a snipper shot kills a whole 88mm.
I tried to change the number of man that the unit has but when done, the icon image changes also and converts the icon unit with as many guns as men has then the unit.
Is there a way to do it and keeping the original icon image.? It will be not difficult then to mod, and reduce accuracy when crew are reduced, untill whole killed.
I posted it before, but I insist because it's very odd that a snipper shoot kills a 88mm unit, and just kill a man of a LMG.

I'm not sure what question you are asking. The simplest solution would just be to change the way that snipers work, surely?

Re: Guns and men
It's not only a snippers problem.
Some times a shot from a unit; infantry, tank, etc., gets a kill on the target, if the target is an infantry, MG, Mortar, etc. just a man is removed, but if it is an artillery then the whole unit is killed.
Guns and AT's are too easely killed.
A 25PDF has a man in BA (6 men in real life) and the unit is whole killed if a man is killed, but mortar has 2 men and is able to fire even when one is killed.....
The logical approach should be that guns and ATs have 3-6 men and when one is killed they can still fire (with less accuracy or less power) like a HMG, LMG, Mortar, etc,).

It's unlikely we are going to drill down to that level. I'm not sure I agree that artillery is too easy to kill.

Re: Guns and men
What if they add more men for a gun? If 2 were killed then maybe the unit would turn into some kind of arty unit of 3 men.
They can man any gun that is not destroyed. Guns could only be destroyed by tanks and grenades.
How about that?

I don't think that the rest of the game really works at that level. I'm just not sure that the issue is valid.

Well if you want that then you have to mod it and give it armor. But BA is a very simple game. I doubt people would know what to do once they begin to lose crew members...

Re: Guns and men
True, but a lot of these issues forget that the overall simulation occurs at a squad, or "bathtubbed" platoon level. It ain't Call of Duty, with guys running to man that gun...
I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.
