Suggestions how to improve Challenge

Hi!The problem with middle and late gameplay is that the AI fail to upgrade its units to their current technology levels.Even when the AI is unlocked techs from the Gold era it still uses low tech units.these swarms of low tech units easily becomes prey for group damage weapons and operations.This makes the mid and late game very easy.

My suggestions are:
Decrease Upgrade costs for the AI.they should receive this bonus on normal and above.this could help the AI to have up to date units.

Change group damage mechanics.There should be a limit on how many units can be damaged by group damage weapons\operations

Quality over Quantity.Make the AI to produce units that are outfitted with their best available weapons and armor.I seen the AI to produce gold era infantry with steel armor,lance gun and no device
