Ans yet some more aircraft, this one more in tone with the Italian activity that is happening around the excellent nikivdd Roma Victor mod...
I decide to make this icon because I did not like very much the standard game icon for the SM.79, and Bebro excelent unit was available only in a camouflaged scheme (useful for a SE unit)... So I made a complete pack, with regulare and special camouflaged units. This icon was made based on the Bebro unit (wings, and the insignia on them) and internet artwork was used as a base for the fuselage.

I hope you like it!

And yet another aircraft: A variant of the Me-262, the widely known prototype with the 50 mm gun available for PzCorps fans!
This icon was carefully developed and much discussed about between Asuser and me... Thar results are very positive. Also, there are more 262 variants arriving later to this thread...
Inluded are trhe normal unit pack, compatrible with many mods, including the Elite Units Mod, and also added two special "out of series" camo schemes made by Asuser, that may be are useful for some hero or special "badged" icon that some imaginative user may add to its personal game...
I hope you enjoy playing with it as much as we enjoyed making it!!

Another round in the "Italian mania"! The Lancia 3RO heavy truck, a reedition of the original icon, with some details refined (mainly, wheels and front bumper: Thanks Bebro, again!). The pack is redone, with all the camo schemes variants, and including the base icon and mask for DCS software.

Enjoy!

Nice graphics and conception!
I was already thinking about the same when I surprisingly found your excellent work! :) For me the graphics will be enough - I don't want modify the stats for balance reasons just use the two modes: moving/fighting and the bridge over rivers - as more realistic or just nice looking candy. :)

Asuser and me spent much time thinking out what could be the new characteristics of this unit, an I think the results were very good in the graphical aspect of things, and remains to be tested in the eqp values, traits, etc...

Uhu: I am glad you liked the concept of a "switchable" engineer unit! Asuser and I discussed some time about it, and I think we arrived to a sound idea!

Airborne: Nice list, basically, it includes all the stock game german air units remainig to be "compatibilized"... which was my plan from the start of it all... :-)

Good news: I have a Me-262 pack ready to upload, with four versions (gun fighter, fighter with AA rockets, Fighter-bomber, and Night Fighter) of the icon, which you will be able to use partially or totally as you see fit! You will be able to download it soon!

The other ones will be made for sure, so stay tuned!

A question: Aren't you missing the Me-163 Komet? Shall I include it?

Nah...I didn't put the Komet in.

I appreciate the offer, however

Thx again guile for doing the skins. I'm in your debt

Guille,

the new turret of the T-34/85 looks also very nice! I checked it first "do I really need it - is there a real difference?" in other game which have proper 3D models (Combat Mission) and your turret version and the thicker gun clearly won the race. :)

I made my version of Bridge engineers. :)
Which I would say a close cooperation between Guille and Asuser because I used many ideas from you guys! I made a lot of research on the net - surprisingly I found very few images about Wehrmacht bridge engineers and pontoon bridges. But this material is very good:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFrJQdkDia8
I wanted to make the field version not a pre-produced one. Sure it would carry just lighter vehicles - for armor it would be maybe not enough but hey - everything cannot be there! 8)
For heavy pontoon bridge this is a good image:
http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag9 ... 2ad4d8.jpg

Now back to my pontoon bridge engineers:
- The first mode is what I named Standard. It is where the engineers shoot and in the background there is the Maultier L4500.
- The second one is with the pontoon bridge heading to the upper right.
- The third one is with the pontoon bridge heading to the lower right.

Why the third one? As I look for this project just as a graphic feature - for balance reasons I don't want to modify the values of the unit - I wanted to make it as "tight" to fit on rivers as possible. Still the wave-forming river formation is making trouble but: screw you Wave-forming River - I don't care of your extreme temperament!
Where I have yet issues that is to get it working: somehow if I set 3 switch options (3 units) than when I make the switch the game freezes. But I hope this issue will get a solution because I would be happy after I worked so much on these versions.
...and of course the bridge engineers and their equipment will be transported by the Mauiltier L4500 provided by Guille Tours! 8)

Hi Guille,

I'm happy about our Me262 Project, now these babys flying high...
And your new Italian units ... awesome ... a really eyecatcher!

Hi Uhu,

your version of the bridge concept look also very interesting:

+You have also the multiswitch function
+You could use different styled icons in one

+/-The angled style of the bridge isn't right for everyone: That theme i also discussed often with Guille. The standard view is straight from the side, no exception for all vanilla and new units? Mostly i would say: yes it goes...but I'm excited what Guille says...

Alternatively we could use the following concept with the bridge with straight from the side view:

(1) Soldiers on Bridge: Defence/Attack mode, soldiers with standard size, bridge underneath so that the icon is fullfilled
(2) Bridge alone: Bridge mode, Bridge with the same size like (1)
(3) Bridge layer truck alone: Transport mode, truck in standard size

A big point here (I would say) you have all icon parts in a good visible view and you haven't much think about the function. Therefore we could make new and different soldiers and bridge types for different nations/uses: Light type with rubber boats for infantry and/or a heavy type as a ponton version for all or heavy units. If you like this version I could make it first time (prototype) together with the Italian boys from my thread? 8)

Greetings!

No second 'nopurchase' trait is allowed if you want a 3-switch unit! Look the info in Switch button thread. Just to know...

First time I tried also with that but than you have the bridge in many position standing in the water not crossing it...
asuser wrote:Bridge alone: Bridge mode, Bridge with the same size like
My problem would be with that than if attacked...who will be attacked if no soldiers are there? And who fires back? :) Of course if it is a static building than it is good (although than why cannot be used the bridge by the enemy - I mean as logical question). As I don't want to modify the Bridge Eng stats for balance reasons I'm not interested in but if somebody wants to go in that way of course than it could be ideal for that.

Asuser: Thanks for the nice words! The Me-262 is a really good icon, and it "production" stage was an example of friendly cooperation! Also, is good to receive good feedback about the other units! :-)

About Uhu's new Bridge engineers... The graphics' concept is similar to the scheme Asuser and I thought about... and the icon units are very good... Considering that you only want to mod the graphical side of things, this is my opinion:

As I said the base icons are all right, the perspective of the bridge graphic is not the standard used in pzCorps, but the truth is, its blends very well with the rivers on the hex map. What I don't like much is the big relative size of the figures compared to the bridge and truck transporter in the background...

What would I do: Enlarge a little the Pioniertransporter on the background (proportionally, more or less to the proportional size of the trailer on the standard bridge enginner icon), and also make a little bigger the bridge graphic, both moves to make look soldiers a little less like giants... The rest, is perfect for me!
