Switching unit's function when placing

Post by borsook79 »

Can units that have double function (e.g. 88mm Flak) be placed at the start of a scenario in a different mode than the default one? It useful for some defensive scenarios.

As far as I know, No.
In the case of the 88, it can be best to buy some special 88 Pak 43/41 guns to counter this, as most defensive scenarios don't appear until after you have these.

I agree though, you should be able to switch in the deploy phase. I was playing one of the defensive scenarios at the end of GC43 East and had a very good 88 Flak with 1 1/2 stars (most of my units die within 8-9 turns of being purchased) and I was quite annoyed when it couldn't contfront IS-1s on the first turn.

Fix This Slitherine!!!

I think you can by hitting the tab key or the button on the right menu to switch view

No, unfortunately it does not work. Tab works for paratroopers, so that they can be placed in planes or on foot, but it does not work for the units with "switch" option, and the button is grayed out...
