Multiplayer map preview in-game?

One feature that I miss is the opportunity to check out a multiplayer map in-game, before I commit to play it with someone.

While I can check out the regular multiplayer maps in the editor, this is not possible for custom made multiplayer maps. So I never play the custom ones. I have no idea where to get them, to have a look at them before starting a game. Hmmm.

This feature would be useful for all regular maps too. For sure it gives unfair advantage for game starter if opponent doesn't have chance to see map first.

It's also not so good if I accept a multiplayer game which is using a custom map that I don't know, and I am only finding out that I don't like the map / don't want to play it, after the game already started and the other player already has done their turn.

On a site note, but how come most mp games on the server are password protected? How does one get the passwords?

The person who issues the challenge can add a password and give (email) that to another person to 'unlock' it. Apparently most people favour setting up a game with a known opponent than just put up a game and see who will respond.
