High Middle Ages round up

In Division A ianiow has set off in pursuit of ericdoman1 with three straight wins so far – only 6 more to go Ian! Everyone else is well back although an interesting tussle for third place is developing with Jonathan4290, klayeckles, Londo and Turk1964 all handily positioned. Rexhurley, Tiavals and macsen all need a win or two to take them away from the relegation zone.

BillMc has consolidated his position at the top of the table with a very impressive 6 wins in a row although he was given a scare by kmaher in his last match of the competition. Lydianed, with 4 wins and just 1 defeat is the only player that can overtake BillMc now. MatteoPasi and ricoual74 have finished their matches and both achieved 5 wins which may yet be enough to secure them 3rd and 4th places. Steve-h8, epos and kmaher are in the relegation zone at the moment.

Division C is turning out to be the most exciting contest in this section. Peterabb still leads, despite a loss and a defeat in his last two games. Kme37158 was closing the gap quickly but he suffered a surprise defeat to mcwar in his last game. zumHeuriger has won 5 and lost 1 and is now in the best position to challenge for the top spot. George123 and mcwar have plenty of games in hand and a good run from either of these players could see them forcing their way into the reckoning. Tullius and Triaxe are in need of wins at the bottom of the table.

Cunningcairn has an 8 point lead at the top of Division D but maximvs has 2 matches in hand and could yet close the gap. Further back, claytonengel remains unbeaten with 3 straight wins and he may yet mount a challenge for the top position. Conaire, Semaon and Greyhunter are looking quite solid in the middle of the table while mcfcivo, chris6, tofman04 and portapenne are all seeking points to avoid the “wooden spoon”.

Some statistics
Unbeaten runs currently in progress (3 matches or more)
ericdoman1 - 8 games
ianiow - 3 games
BillMc - 6 games
lydianed - 4 games
zumHeuriger - 3 games

Cunningcairn has replaced Turkoman in EMA C

Turkoman,

We have had no contact from you since the start of the competition. You have until 31/10 to post a result otherwise you will be replaced by a reserve.

Early Middle Ages round up

Things are starting to take shape quite nicely in Division A. ericdoman is top with 5 wins and just 1 defeat but the unbeaten hidde and ianiow are both taking closer order with 3 straight wins each. Tiavals, also unbeaten, is just behind them with 2 wins and a draw. It looks like yours truly will be filling the relegation spot as I have only managed one win with King Liutprang and his dumbards!

In Division B, steve-h8 has almost secured the top position. The only player who can stop him is macsen who needs 6 straight victories (including a win against Steve) to thwart him. So no pressure there then! Most of the other players are grouped solidly together with only epos and voskarp a bit detached at the bottom.

Tullius is still in the strongest position with an unbeaten run of 3 matches but Okie and ricoual are both just ahead of him at the moment with 4 wins and 3 defeats apiece. mcwar has won his first game and may put in a challenge as the competition develops. The rate of play in this division is quite slow at the moment and Turkoman, who has not yet made an appearance, will be replaced on 31/10 if he does not post a result by then.

In Division D, mchargmg is top with 5 wins and just 1 defeat, but he is being hotly pursued by maximvs, teletabicus, Conaire and Breogan. And Brenmusik may yet put in a challenge too. This promises to be a fabulous contest over the next few weeks! At the bottom, the “wooden spoon” appears to be heading in Mike48’s direction unless he can pick up a victory or two in his last two matches.

Some statistics
Unbeaten runs currently in progress (3 matches or more)
ianiow - 3 games
steve-h8 - 3 games
tullius – 3 games

Match completion in this section is very good after 4 weeks (each division has 45 matches to be played)

Classical Antiquity round up

Things are still moving very slowly in Division A at the moment. ericdoman1 is top with 4 wins and 1 defeat and he is followed by CheAhn who has 4 wins and 2 defeats. Further back is Sharkall with a victory from his opening match.

rexhurley has moved to the top of division B with his 4th win out of 5 games and then is a group of 5 or 6 players who could put in a challenge if they can get a winning run going. This should be an exciting competition over the next few weeks as most players still have a chance of winning promotion.

In Division C, Greetings44 has already won the contest with a stunning sequence of 8 wins in a row, culminating in a narrow win against george123 who was the only other unbeaten player in the division. So congratulations to Greetings44! Maulet, mcfivo, Okie and george123 are battling it out now for the runners-up spot, while tullius and warmonger2450 have tailed off at the bottom at the moment.

In Division D, Cunningcairn still sits top of the table with 8 wins and just 1 defeat and only teletabicus can prevent him from winning this division. Teletabicus needs to win his 4 remaining games to do this. mchargmg can equal Cunningcairn’s points total as well, but he cannot overtake him as he lost his match against him. The other players are well back from this leading group and the struggle to avoid the “wooden spoon” involves tofman04, granddad and Leonidas048.

Some statistics
Unbeaten runs currently in progress (3 games or more)
ericdoman1 – 3 wins
epos - 3 games
Greetings44 - 8 games
mcfcivo – 5 games
mchargmg – 4 games

Match completion in this section is very slow in the A division (boo, hiss! :D ) but excellent in the other 4 divisions after 4 weeks (each division has 45 matches to be played)
