Deployment tweak?

Post by Nickster »

I just switched from the Eastern Front to the West in GC 42/43.

I've brought along 35 core units :) but can only deploy 9 at St Nazaire :( Is there any way to highlight the core of the core units - like Rudel?

I find it a real pain to hunt through all the cannon fodder to find my real elite units.

I could do it to a certain extent with the unit naming but I like naming my units in a certain fashion already.

No, unfortunately you can't highlight the core of the core.

But you can ease up things by naming the units wisely.

Well, I usually name the elite hero units with the hero's name (i.e. Albert Kerscher -> Albert Kerscher).

All other units get their hero values in their names (f.e. a Panzer unit with Movement +1 and Defense +2 would receive "M1D2" behind it's name). During deployment you can also move your mouse pointer over the hero marker. The tooltip shows the hero's values.

The SE units are for free. Usually you have enough prestige at the start of GC42/43W. After deployment it is going to be resetted anyway, so upgrade all of your units and overstrength them to the maximum. (I usually overstrength only artillery and Rudel, but this time prestige can be spent like it is Christmas  ).
