For now, yes. This will change when we release the first allied campaign.

Hello,

does anyone know how to mark naval units with naval heroes? According to the values (class?) in the eqp file for ground and air units it should be done for the naval units (somewhere) with the "special" flag to load the images of naval heroes?

I've added my random Captain like this in heroes.pzdat:

I haven't tested it with Class, but I guess it should work too for only carriers (13), capital ships (12), destroyers/attack-boats (11), submarines (10) and river-boats (19) if you add the class code.

Hello Horst,

thank you for the help. Funny idea with captain Ig.. (is there a copyright problem?). After updating to patch 1.20 i just wondering about the additional values for US and British heroes. That means also with version 1.20 the heroes.pzdat file is now used by the game. I will try it with my new Italian Decima MAS units (Manned Torpedo and MTM Boat - look at the latest updates in the Guille thread).

The values 0, 2, -1 are ok, the -1 for class define that it is used for all types of naval units.

Did this ever come about? heroes.pzdat seems to be only for names and portraits now, and any weights or values for the stats of heroes seems to be absent.

Changing random hero bonuses is unfortunately not possible with 1.25 in any pzdat file yet. I would love to do this too since ages.
