I think it would be nice if we have an "unofficial faq" with the Richard, Simon and Terry's answers (the authors). We could use their answers here ( official forum) or on the yahoo-ML. It would be a nice data base. Maybe someone knows this document for Flames of War : More again LFTF
We would much prefer that there is only one FAQ, to have another version floating around would only lead to confusion, and the FoG team will not be able to contribute to a different/ unofficial FAQ what would be the point?
I would prefer if you would consider translating the official FAQ?
Just to add to JDs comments from the coal face. It takes a fair bit of time to formulate and agree the FAQ, far more than it may appear. We are making sure that all 3 of us agree the wording and keep abreast of issues.
The thought of a spread of unofficial FAQs fill me with fear as it would multiply the complexity of dealing with questions several fold. It would add hugely to the task if we had to officialise all our unofficial dialogue as well.
In effect the Forum is exactly that anyway, and is then superceded by the official FAQ. Already we have had one example where in moving to an official stance we decided to supercede some of the comments on the forum. It is far better to stick with the offical one and we will keep it updated every few weeks.
As you can see, we already have a FAQvs2.0 in by the end of the month of release.
