Space Program Manager Presentation at Historicon
Re: Space Program Manager Presentation at Historicon
Hey guys, how has the work been going?
Re: Space Program Manager Presentation at Historicon
Hello DGatsby,
As for me, I'm introducing changes in the game (mostly gameplay and UI) as suggested by Iain and ensuring that the mission animations scripts are correct. The latter is quite time-consuming, as there are lots of missions and, hence, lots of scripts! Luckily we're getting there; the rest of the guys are getting much more comfortable with the internal tools we use to develop the animations so that's helping quite a lot. I'm also cleaning up the codebase as much as I can so that we can quickly introduce changes and try different approaches during the beta.
We'll be posting more updates soon.
Cheers,
It's been a pretty busy month! The 3D artist has moved on to the models we'll need for parts 2 and 3 (we're still missing the models and the renders for the EOR mission from part 1, but that's only because I cannot find the time to sit down and write the requirements for that mission. I'll do that during the early access program). The UI artist, who's also in charge of the mission animations, is pretty much done with missions for part 1 and he's now either creating whichever new assets we need for the UI or tweaking the animations that he's not entirely happy with. The composer is now adding music and sound effects to the mission animations.DGatsby wrote:Hey guys, how has the work been going?

Thanks for the update! Sounds like you guys are working pretty hard. I'm looking forward to seeing all of those delicious animations!

So I have to ask, now that we are in October, is there any more beta release news?

Yes, give the dog a bone!
Also looking forward very much to the game. Product page says October 29th - is this the tentative date for early access or the release version?

Yes this is the plan. It's going to be tight but we're working hard on it!
