Mobs, what are they about??

Post by gavin »

Looking at the points table, I can't see Mob on it. So, I'm a little confused.

What is 'Mob' for? Is it just the base depth and no other effect on the game or have I managed to miss something in the rule book?

Cheers

Between you and me, it's a rule that was created just for former DBx players! Just to allow people to use their old DBx Hordes in FoG without having to rebase in a slimmer base. They behave in all ways like MF anyway, except for base size.

Well when some of the DBx players in question have over 100 bases of DBM hordes ....

In the early playtests Mob were worse than medium foot but in the end they became so similar to medium foot that the two types merged.

And that is just for the Spartacus army!

I like horde, Oops, sorry, Mob, in that they are a good way of depicting a mass of men who are largely useless :)

I am also grateful that I don't have to rebase a massive amount of Babylonian and French Mob...

Just a little confusing for new players (as in those that have not had the 'enjoyment' of DBx).

Oh well, at least I now know.
