Same level as the friendly and enemy unit so how could it see the enemy?

A Units Crashing Through Their Own During Charge
Hoping that "A" marked units will not crash through their own units in order to conduct unauthorized charges. Had this happen to me today in a game and the Knight unit went right through a friendly unit Disrupting them. Can this be fixed or is it an intentional design thing and if so why because the unit could not "see" the target unit. It just hit the spurs and rode on ahead but obviously it HAD a target in mind.

Wouldn't a mounted unit be ale to see over a foot unit of through a group of skirmishers?

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

BGs making an anarchy charge should not burst through friends unless that is the only path to their target. (This is the behavior in the TT rules.) There does seem to be a bug in FoG PC where a BG will sometimes make an anarchy charge through friends even if there is another path available where it would not need to do so.

Re: A Units Crashing Through Their Own During Charge
Hmm, did this happen in real life? Knights just decided to put suddenly charge without first seeing the enemy? This can also happen with foot troops to so really it has nothing to do with LOS. Has more to do with "the computer sees the troops so the unit does too."
I just wish that A charges would happen ONLY if the unit SEES the target. Hoping that this gets fixed and will also keep this in mind if I ever play the miniature rules.

Well, I can imagine forces being able to see through friendly loose formation units like javelinmen, archers etc. I know RL examples of knights charging at an ennemy and trampling their own lowborn infantry that happend to be in the way.
But close-rank phalanx etc is not realistc. Still, this is only a game and some thing were simplified in the design process.

I agree the rule that troop wont anarchy thru "non shock" troops is very abstract and it should rather be based on density/type over agressiveness/utility. Isnt a phalanx of defensive spears just as thick and impassible as an offensive one? LOL
Re: A Units Crashing Through Their Own During Charge
I really think that it should be a possibility, but only for cavalry and knights to act this way (and perhaps limit the type of troops that they can crash through to only light and medium infantry). An offensive spearmen unit attacking through its own pikemen unit is just silly.
