Invasion of America?
Just for the fun of it..... Has anyone ever tried landing on American Soil after a really successful sealion? I'd be a really funny thing and maybe there is a hidden event if you do so

Great AAR! Sucks the Russian Steamroller still couldn't be beaten. I doubt the Soviets would have made it as far as they did in real life without Western Invasions in Africa Italy and France.supermax wrote:Go check my Amerika In Flames AAR.LandMarine47 wrote:Just for the fun of it..... That AAR showed the diplomatic and game play loopholes that have been corrected.

Finished a game over the weekend where I attempted a 1945 invasion of Canada after a successful 1944 Sealion. No surprises - ie I got thrashed.
We sleep peaceably in our beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on our behalf.

Against a human opponent? Must have been a highly successfull game anywayGogTheMild wrote:Finished a game over the weekend where I attempted a 1945 invasion of Canada after a successful 1944 Sealion. No surprises - ie I got thrashed.
Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

Re: Invasion of America?
I tried the same strategy as against you in the AAR. But this time the Allied player got sucked in. I was adjacent to Omsk by the end of summer 1944. Anticipating this, I had switched the Luftwaffe west, crushed a feeble Overlord with the help of the strong Kriegsmarine and Regia Marina, swept the skies over Britain and threw in a late Sealion. Three fine weather turns in Oct and Nov made it pretty successful, although three Italian MECHs getting sunk in the Irish Sea was a low point. Having a go at North America was by way of an experiment and to avoid boredom. (I was paying well over 100PP in excess transport charges for several turns.) I am still analysing the lessons. (Of the whole game.) But yes, pretty successful

Re: Invasion of America?
I think that would be classified as a "raid"
