Ios 7 loss of sound

Just upgraded and now have no sound - music or ingame sound effects.

BA respects the silence toggle switch, so that could be the issue.

Nope, toggled on/off, volume right up, volume right down, gone from safari playing vids with sound to BA silent......tried everything, any ideas.

All sorted - here's what to do for anyone having same problem.....

Go in setting and turn the switch to rotation lock, go in BA, now just home button out then back into settings and turn switch to control mute.....back into BA and toggle mute on / off then sound working.

Well, glad you found a workaround! I assume if you have it muted and then change the switch operation it just stays muted forever??

Does it work to unmute the sound using the control panel which you can swipe up from the bottom?

Didn't try the control centre pull up, but I don't have a mute button on mine:

Aeroplane mode, wifi, Bluetooth, sleep, rotation lock..........or is the rotation lock swapped if I have the switch as mute?

Yes. from what I understand the panel button is whatever the side button isn't. Obviously...
