Gents I have finally found the information that is needed to make all the maps! After countless hours of searching I have found the jackpot we need! A book by the name of "Terrible Victory" is a HIGHLY detailed history of the Battle of the Schedlt! So far just by looking at the sample on iBooks I have found all the sketch maps we are using to base the maps off! I plan on making a tough choice on Sunday though. The Rommel in Normandy Expansion or this Book? They cost the same and I can only afford one :( hopefully I make the right choice :)

PS finally I can upload these 200k photos! But only by link :( this shouldn't be a problem unless your Internet is slowing down

Here we have the Canadians assaulting the town of Hoogerheide. The Wasps and Shermans make things easy but it's an all out slaughter house for the infantry. It gets so bad I'm forced to launch a assault across open ground. My opponent has lost most of his forces in Hoogerheide but if I want a major victory I have to attack the second village. Across open ground.....

Here's another shot before the final assault. At this point I just entered the city after a shelling. I'm about to launch the final nail..... Lets hope the plan works

New changes to the gameplay gents so the 1st Maps release has been delayed. We are now adding something....
Gents drumroll please.......
The reason why there has been a delay is because we are going all out now.
In the Battle of the Scheldt Campaign we are combining GJS style gameplay with the wonderful creations of Enric and Amaris. The most realistic action packed map pack here is what player should expect
*Amaris's Real Engineers with a new minefield option. Yup players can set down minefields at a price...
*Enrics Pontoon Bridge which will take time but can be sped up with a nearby engineer
*Leaders will now replace all bonuses in game
*Barbed wire is now present
*Bridges can be destroyed by Artillery fire
*A new mud tile
*Immobilization
Hopefully for the people waiting will understand the delay. Just know we are working extremely hard to bring you all this grand stuff!
I hope to see you all Crossing the Leopold Canal

Gents after some talks with Iain, Slith is supporting us by placing the finished products on the Offical Downloads list. But under 1 condition. We are now opening the Beta! Yes now all current builds are open to the public for feedback and suggestions. Now please bear with us this is the old build as we only just began adding all the codes above. It still has balance issues that we hope to nail on the next build. Here are your links that I'll add to the first post

LST File (Mac and iPad) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/535 ... DT_05B.LST

(PC) use this link as the LST doesn't work. I am told you must drag it into your MP games folder for BA
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/535 ... DT_05B.zip

Please tell us what you think!

Thanks LM and Cavehobbit

(Gilles when you add this to the directory PLEASE add that it's in beta testing!)

Hey there

Any chance to do a guy a favor. Deployment. Its tedious as we all know. Can you divide up the troops and stage them in sections across the deployment zone? Just so a good majority is the screen to deploy into the likely areas. Maybe that isn't in the spirit of what you have in mind for tactics in which so be it lol.

This is on the to-do-list. I just forgot to do it in the last version...
Some units will also be mounted into transports from start.

My fault again. I've forgot to set the game to end when turn limit is reached. As it is now, the side which kills all the enemy units wins.
I will be looking (or asking for help to write one) for a script that will also include a draw result.

Cheeky little guardsman............it was I who layed some major strategic blunders in my first outing on this map and guardsman took my pants down and well and truly taught me a lesson, but having a sly brag about.........I shall teach thee a lesson this time round.

Now for the map itself......it is a damn good map, tried out a few different strats so far, finding the swamp is pretty much a dead zone......to slow to I've across, but have to say loving playing this map at the min, and I think its upto the players really whether they take it as flag capture or last man standing.........i for one like the last man standing idea as there's not many places to hide on this one.......maybe if the players had some sort of option for victory at the setup.

I've noticed you have both mentioned bugs. Please go to the sub forums and report it to the bugs page. Thanks! We can't nail the bugs if we don't know where they are.

I love this map as well! You never know where the enemy troops are! Are they in the buildings of Hoggerhiede and Woensdecht or hiding in the mashes and forests around the towns? The swamp is there to show the mud and how slow an advance would be. If you deploy your men in the marsh, your gonna have a bad time.
I'd love to play you but real life has me tied up with chains and locks. The only true time I have to myslef is the weekends but I'm usually at my job and too exhausted to play. So far my Canadian Blitz has been unstopable! The only person to ever stop them was Cavehobbit and his Germans of Steel. In our battles we always stretch each other to a breaking point, and always land some very accurate barrages on each other. In the end whoever has more morale and troops usually wins due to the terrain. As the Canadians you always have to charge across killing zones. This will be present all over the Scheldt. WASPS are a god send but the Germans usually use all their AT power to destroy them. Should you ever face any of us on the battlefield.... Well it's going to be one EPIC FIGHT .
