Diplomacy

The changes in diplomacy so far as I've seen have been positive, except for one. Map Sharing. This actually tends to change the game quite significantly. I used to build lots of seekers early in the game in order to explore the world. Now with map sharing I don't have to worry about exploring the world. In my last two games, before I had even gotten my second city built I had discovered the entire world through map sharing. To me, in this type of game, exploring the world was half the fun in the early part of the game. Now you don't have to worry about it. Instead of map sharing, I'd prefer the ability to trade or buy research. I often find myself way behind in research compared to the AI factions. I would like the ability to buy some from them.

In addition, I think that the capture of research whey you take over an enemy city would be a nice benefit besides just taking over the city. At least there would be more incentive to capture cities or defend them better.
