impressions after 20+ hours and crash/freeze

Would like to see a picture of the terrain that matches up with description in the Compendium. Also a graph or something that tells you where you are currently at in regards to victory. After you lose and feel like continuing anyway the winning side is darkened and you can't declare war or interact with it anymore. It would be nice to be able to continue on with full gameplay.
***one big issue - the game will randomly crash/freeze during the AI turn. This has happened several times already. What happens is the AI will be taking it's turn and there will be a beep and the AI turn never ends. I can go to menu and restart from a saved point and it goes away. I have noticed that it seems to happen when the AI is doing some movement on the water, other than that there seems to be no reason or repeatability***
