  • Added:
    * Added line of sight mechanics.
    * Added movement penalties to terrain.

    * Added -1 operation damage to Fort.
    * Added basic spectating. After being defeated you can see the whole map and other players no longer wait for you to end your turn.

    Changed:
    * Increased base sight and movement speeds to 2.
    * Greatly improved battle panel: displays more information and properly works for splash damage sources.
    * No retaliation attacks like artillery and sniper no longer gain a bonus from armor.
    * Weapon modifiers no longer affect units defending against no retaliation weapons like artillery and sniper.
    * Rescaled ruins rewards, they are now doubled every 100 turns up to a maximum of *4.
    * More detailed description for alien aggression.
    * Compendium now shows upkeep for native units.
    * Forts no longer affect aircraft.
    * Aliens leash range from their home territories now increases over the course of the game.
    * Alien aggression now also affects the leash range of alien units and the xenomorph production rates in hives.
    * Orbital deployment can now be performed into unguarded cities.
    * Increased max rank to 10.
    * Nerfed Xenomorph Pheropod device from +25% production, -25% power to +50% production, -50% power.
    * Purchase cost modifiers also affect refitting costs.
    * Tweaked operation damage and defense building absorption values.
    * Tweaked tax system.

    Fixed:
    * Fixed AI orders not working on transports..
    * Fixed AI not exploring / capturing ruins. This bug also caused the AI to play less forward than intended due to a lack of vision on its opponents' cities.
    * Fixed sight bonus from fort not being granted.
    * Fixed fungus damaging aircraft.
    * Fixed random factor being incorrectly applied in battles.
    * Fixed Raynor joke.

Lots of great changes!

One question/suggestion about "Rescaled ruins rewards, they are now doubled every 100 turns up to a maximum of *4"
Does that mean that between turn 1 and 99 a ruin might hold 50 credits and on turn 100 it will change to 100?
In that case I'd suggest a smoth increase instead (each turn) or if that is taking too much processing power each turn, at least more "steps" like each 20 turns or so.
Otherwise it feels to attractive to "conservate" some ruins. When you are at turn 80 or 90 in order to get double out of it, which would be a silly and not intuitive game mechanic.

I really like the changes to alien upkeep and the pheropod. Base move speed increase is also nice.

When I started the game this morning it was patching again. Was there a hotfix which didn't change the version number?

Yeah, hotfixed a small issue.

Will get the Hive stuff fixed today.

- Share maps: When you got the offer to share maps, you can't accept or reject if you allready know the whole world.
Not sure but i think, you want to share the map with an AI empire, you can's select it when you don't know anything new from the Map that the AI don't know.

I think the AI shouldn't offer Share maps if it allready know the whole map.

Btw. good job the AI empire explore the Map very well and pickup the ruins. before 0.20.2 i found alot ruins at the water, this time i didn't got any when i explore it with Aircrafts.

0.20.2 and 0.20.3 both have the outpost heal rate at 110%... City was 20% before, I don't recall specifics of the outpost, but think it was 20% as well.

I just ran into this problem. When offered by an AI to share maps I was unable to either accept or reject the offer. I had to escape out of the text box.
