Amphibious Irish Kerns

Post by Old_Warrior »

This is my favorite screenshot from my many MP FoG games:

Apparently these are the forerunners of today's Marine Corps!

Is this a glitch guys? My game is still active and frankly it looks a bit odd to see a unit be able to get into the water like that.

But you gotta love those Medieval Frogmen!

They are on the "beach hex". Did you remember to buy the optional sun screen?

If you turn on the hex grid, you'll see a bit of land in their hexes. They may be very constrained in terms of what hexsides they can move out through.

In OZ they are known as "Fish Fingers" .... hence I wouldn't eat em as a kid. Poor fingerless fish. ..... Look, I didn't know that fish don't have hands  Anyway, Capt'n Birdseye was a bit creepy

They're called Fish Fingers in the UK and the deamnd for these in the 60s - 80s is why you don't see any hands on fish these days.

I've seen this bug and its the terrain, not the kerns taht are at fault. At some MP maps, the terrain on some hexes will be "stream" even though it looks like it has the lake graphics.
