PRODUCTION - How to activate?

Still feeling a need for a good "tutorial." Perhaps I should watch those video's mentioned above, and I will. The "game tips" are good, when starting a new game but loading a saved game it seems that only NEW tips will come up? More to point of my subject. I ran out of minerals and tip suggested something about PRODUCTION. But I can find no way to get back to the production screen to set or change, what I had originally set on the "initial" production opportunity??

Reset Tips: Press ESC to enter the Menu, At Settings - General are the Reset Tips button.

Produktion: You need to open the City screen, to do this click at the City name. Alternativ you have an overview about all City when you press the Economy button at the lower border of the screen.

You have no minerals, you can do
- assign some worker from Food,Produktion,Research to Mining. But be careful not to run out of food.
- When you got alot units, destroy some, they use minerals as maintance cost.
- Sell some not nessesary buildings like bunker, Training yards or Orbital bombardment , all buildings use minerals too, as maintance cost.

Thanks for the info. It seems to me that PRODUCTION is an important enough category that it ought to have its own button down along the bottom where RESEARCH, MILITARY and other items are listed? You did mention ECONOMY. At the time of my query I only had one City and I did click on ECONOMY but wasn't finding any way to trigger PRODUCTION -- may have just overlooked something?

When you open the Economy screen, you should see First the City name with the Resources the City produce.
Below that you see what the City is produce, with the Purchase icon and an arrow down, that open a pulldown menu where you can choose the produktion.
And below that are the worker managment, to drag and drop worker like you want.
