I am wondering what people would consider good Slitherine games to look at. I have only owned Commander: Napoleon at War and enjoy it a lot.
I am looking for two types of games folks would recommend:
1.) Tactical, moving small platoon or regiment units across the screen on battlefields.
2.) Strategic, moving corps or armies across continents, like CNaW.
I am working on a project for the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club - http://theblitz.org
We are potentially expanding our ladder system into a Slitherine/AGEOD ladder as well, so I am on the information hunt and exploration front.
Your responses are appreciated!
Thanks!

I would check Panzer Corps, Battle Academy, Commander Europe at War and Great War, Germany at War and Field of Glory. All have great multiplayer modes as well.

Hi Iain,
Thanks for the reply.
Is Battle Academy an instant setup type game, where each sides chooses their troops or are there set scenarios?
I am familiar with the others enough to know, but I was curious about this one.

In single player mission its a mix between pre set forces and those where you choose your troops - usually you have some choice of units with some fixed units. In MP the original maps have no force selection but later on we added force selection in MP games too.

Iain,
Thanks! That makes sense. In MP games folks aren't stuck with mission based scenarios are they?

There are no multiplayer campaigns in these games if that what you mean?
The Commander games are the only ones with a MP campaign really but that's because they are grand strategy games not mission based games.
