What are all the abbreviations on the terrain placement table ?
Is there an expanded version somewhere ?

Havn't got my rules with me but there is .I'm sure .a glossary in the book somewhere

Terrain is explained in detail along with all the abbreviations on P131.

Interestingly the table in the main rules has abbreviated terrain types but the one on the reference sheet at the end of the rules doesn't.
