Fitting 28mm figures on the base
Have just taken delivery of my first set of 28mm figures (Imp Romans from Warlord Games) and it seems that it will be very difficult to fit 4 figures to a 60mm frontage (especially Romans which would look better in a straight line).
How have other people got round this?
Thanks

Re: Fitting 28mm figures on the base
I only put 3 25's on a HF base, 2 or 3 for MF, one or 2 for LF.
If spartans had any cavalry I'd have a decision to make there.

Re: Fitting 28mm figures on the base
I used Wargames Factory LRR and managed to get 4 per base. Just off-set the figures slightly front and back. It makes for a very solid looking formation.

Thanks.
Theoretically speaking, would tournament opponents/organisers complain if you turned up with less than the prescribed amount of figures per base?

Re: Fitting 28mm figures on the base
Well not about your basing...
Re: Fitting 28mm figures on the base
All my Romans and Gauls are 3 to a 60x20 base - couldn't fit 4 figures as the poses are too 'active'.
You can generally fit 4 spear or pikemen if they are all in the same pose (all my Macedonians and Greek heavies are 4 to a base)
There's no ambiguity, since the base size tells you they are HF.
I imagine putting 2 figures on a MF base might cause problems, as they then look like LF.

Re: Fitting 28mm figures on the base
I've seen people use LF and LH with only 1 figure on the base - personally I don't have an issue with it as long as you know what it is supposed to represent.I imagine putting 2 figures on a MF base might cause problems, as they then look like LF.

The bases are 50/50, 2/3 figures. So more than LF and less than HFpyruse wrote:All my Romans and Gauls are 3 to a 60x20 base - couldn't fit 4 figures as the poses are too 'active'.
