Though I'm not particularly "in the loop" yet, Armageddon is a game I try to keep an eye on regarding any exciting new developments. I very much enjoy oldschool turn-based strategy titles, and I like the setting of Wh40k. The last time both of these things were combined in an army-scope game was in the 1997 classic Final Liberation, so I'd say it's about time the concept got picked up again!
Anyways, what I'd like to inquire is whether there are any plans or at least a clearly considered possibility of expanding the upcoming base game beyond currently announced armies and scenarios? Chiefly I'd be intrigued about a possible expansion featuring the Third War of Armageddon, as this continuation and escalation of this conflict between the Imperium and the Orks would open up a lot more armies to play, and even fiercer battles to fight. Don't get me wrong: I can't wait to take command of the Steel Legion, and there are way too few 40k computer games in existence that let you play something other than Space Marines, but the Third War offers a much greater selection of regiments (including fan-favourites such as the Mordian Iron Guard and Cadian Shock Troops), as well as the Titan Legion of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas. Fans of the Space Marines are treated with a score of additional Astartes Chapters to pick from, and even the Orks show up with a bunch of new Warbands plus their massive Gargants. Everybody wins?

It seems like a logical extension, to the point where I'm even a bit surprised that the developers did not go straight for the Third War but picked the Second one for this game.
And of course this is "just" Armageddon. Other warzones could add other armies such as the Tau, Eldar, Tyranids, Necrons and, of course, Chaos.
In short, is there any chance of getting a glimpse at Slitherine's long-term plans for their license, or will we just have to wait and see?
