Sandbox Mode

I've decided I want to buy this game for christmas but I've read about a sandbox mode.

What is it?

Sandbox mode is no longer part of the game. It would be a mode where you can just play around with various attacking and defending armies, but we unfortunately had to cut the feature. You can, however, play with completely user built armies in multiplayer, which is a lot of fun!

The core single player game are campaigns slanted toward historical accuracy, but also with some story which traces your success as a leader and general. There are over 100 different scenarios to play!
