Later Seleucid Theureophoroi and Thorakitai

Post by Barsoom »

In the Army list for the Later Seleucids there is a note (page 42) stating that Theureophoroi and Thorakitai can be either MF or HF but all of both types must be the same weight. The list, however, allows for BGs of 4-6 of each but a total of both of 0-6. So it doesn't seem as if you can have both at the same time. Is there a typo in regards to the total number allowed, or is the note a remnant from an earlier version of the list or just included for comprehensiveness.

Thank you,
Stuart

Good spot,

In general where MF can be fielded as HF at the players option the same words are used in every list. The limit is correct, there can only be one BG of either Thureophori or Thorakitai.

Neither. They aren't the only thureophoroi in the list - there are also Civic Militia Thureophoroi.
