Scrolling speed

Is there any way to modify the map scroll speed? Whenever i get near the map edge, the map just zooms by. Same goes for the keyboard scroll keys. This machine isn't any special...it's several years old now.

It might be that it has some kind of "power saving" system? These can mess up the timings for the game sometimes?

Another possibility is that you have turned off "vertical sync" in the graphic card settings? This prevents the game from running at the frame rate of the screen, and can lead to excessively quick scrolling.
