Measuring sticks

Post by nicofig »

Hi,
do you know where I could find some mesuring sticks ( like I see for DBM) ?

And, do you know if a manufacturers ( like GF9 for example) could have an Official FoG Sticks ?

Thank you
:D

Try http://www.litkoaero.com/Store and see if they do any FoG measuring sticks, or if they intend doing a range.

Cheers

Presumably you are looking at cohesion markers as well.

1 MU is an inch right (I'm new here so humour me) then why not use the DBx sticks? (except for the price)

The max movement is 7MU , so a 4" stick and a 3" stick would be enough ?
I plan to make a few out of aluminium.

Isn't there a nice triangle that would work , a 3,4,5 or 2,3,4 or something like that ?

LH evades, you make VMT and you got a 6(+2MU) then 7+2=9 MU

There are a nice set of measurement devices (in mm and inches) on the French site at http://fieldofglory.fr (the "inches" one is here --> http://fieldofglory.fr/IMG/pdf/Gauges_InchHigh.pdf )

:D In my FoG gaming, I use a "Roman Ruler" I picked up some years ago on a trip to the British Museum, with measurements in both centimetres and Roman unciae. It works well because the Roman inch is much closer to 25mm than the modern "imperial" inch.

You can see the "Roman Ruler" here: http://www.westair-reproductions.com/ma ... cts/rr.htm

Cheers,
Scott
