Artillery taking down a bridge?

Post by LandMarine47 »

I want to experiment with something. Is there a script to where Artillery (both on and off map) could take down a bridge? I want to integrate this in the Scheldt mod for Leoplod Canal and I think it may be possible to do this. I'm thinking mixing up some Husky Actions with some kind of artillery script and it could work. Will it work if its moddable?

I have seen that done in other games (SPWAW for example). But there were some limitations, wooden bridges could only be destroyed by 105mm or larger, Stone/Metal bridges by 150mm or larger, normally much larger, 8in or 203mm.

I think a better option might be using Engineers to destroy bridges or maybe Airstikes.

Most larger bridges were either destroyed by air or demolitions placed on them. Artillery to me just doesn't seem to have that pinpoint accuracy needed.

My 2 cents...

Thanks Morge! Don't worry no major bridges just small footbridges.
