2 Questions

Post by jdarocha »

Hello All!
I was an old and long term player of Panzer General 2, and have since switched over. Love Panzer Korps. I finished the main game and have downloaded 2 extra campaign packs.

Here are my 2 questions

1. Can you remove the Tactical Side Bar while playing the game, hide it, so that the whole screen is just the battle map?

2. I've purchased some 88mm German Flak for a scenario, when Allied tanks attack these units how can I convert them to an Anti Tank function??

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Halder; I don't think you can remove the side bar. The 88's have a toggle to switch between AT & AA modes. If you have the tutorial help turned on it should show you how to switch the first time you select the unit. The 88 is very handy through out the war but the 43 unit doesn't switch.

GSlapshot has #2 right, but there is a way to hide the right side UI bit. Hotkey for this is 'F'.

Hi and welcome.

1) "F" will toggle you between Full screen and the sidebar.

2) To sWitch a unit between modes, use the "W" or there is a button on the sidebar, mouse over it and it will say "switch."

Also, check out this sticky to see cheat codes and more importantly a list of hotkeys:

Quality or speed, can't have both all the time. ;)

Thanks for your answers they helped tremendously. I did go to the thread on hot keys and cheats and found that very useful. Someone mentioned they did not like or use the cheat codes. Where I find them useful is when I am assigned an SE Unit, which I assume is an Waffen SS unit. When I get one of these units I use the cheat code to over strength them to reflect their elite combat status. I will usually name an elite unit Das Reich or Leibstandarte, for elite German Army Units I use Panzer Lehr or Gross Deutschland, for paratroops, Herman Goering Division and so on.

Do others name their core units before a scenario? I am curious what unit names are chosen? When I play the allies I name them as well.

Any recommendations regarding the downloadable content? What is the best campaign pack?

BTW, I would like to see a Cold War Mod for Panzer Korps, like this;
